Movin’ Mammas- Fitness Classes for Moms & Caregivers w/Children 9 months- 3 years

Group Skating Lessons- Ages 18 & up
Recreation & Parks and The VT Skating Club teams up to offer Basic Skills Skating Lessons at Cairns Arena. The classes are designed by U.S. Figure Skating. It is the best beginning ice skating program that serves the needs of both the recreational and competitive skaters. Lessons are 1/2 hour followed by a 1/2 hour supervised practice time. First Swing Golf Clinics- Ages 18 & up

Fly Fishing Workshop- Ages 18 & up
This is an introduction to the basics of fly fishing for the novice who is looking to learn the sport. Classes include; introduction to fly fishing and equipment, stream biology, fly-casting instruction and practice, fly selection and knot tying. This is being offered by the Central Vermont Trout Unlimited Chapter. The fee includes a one-year membership to Trout Unlimited. All equipment will be provided. Offered in the Spring. Join Central Vermont Trout Unlimited for this beginner’s class. You will learn a variety of fly-tying techniques and trout fly patterns. No experience required. Participants are responsible for their own Tying Tools. Offered in the Winter. Instructor: Paul Zuchowski.
Boater Safety Course- Ages 12 & Older
Recreation & Parks in conjunction with the VT State Police, offers a Boater Safety Course. The course is open to all youth, teens & adults (12 years of age and older). The course is 8 hours and is offered in 4 days. Participants must be present at all sessions to be eligible for certification. The course is mandatory for any person, born after January 1, 1974, who will be operating a motorboat on VT waters. Offered in the Spring. Instructor: John Fick
Snowmobile Safety Course- Ages 12 & up
Recreation & Parks in conjunction with the VT State Police, offers a Snowmobile Safety Course. The 6-hour course is offered in three evening sessions. Participants must be present for all classes in order to be eligible for certification. The VT State law requires all snowmobile operators born after July 1, 1983 to take and pass a snowmobile safety course. Offered in the Winter. Instructor: VT State Police
