This 210 acre city park provides both passive and active recreational activities, located immediately south of I-89 and east of Dorset Street. Dorset Park is divided into two segments, the 70 acre City Park, and the 140 acre Country Park. The City Park currently has two soccer fields, one regulation and two youth baseball fields, two unlighted tennis courts, picnic pavilion with tables, restrooms, open field space, indoor ice arena (privately operated) and parking. The Country Park remains undeveloped and is used for cross country skiing, nature walks, and the community gardens. This site contains two buildings and several scenic areas.

C. DOUGLAS CAIRNS ICE ARENA :
The Cairns Ice Arena rinks (2) are located at Dorset Park in South Burlington, but operated independently of the City. For information regarding public ice skating or reserving ice time, contact the arena directly at 802-658-5577.

Directions to the rinks are listed below:

From I-89 - Take exit 14E and take first right off exit onto Dorset Street (at Friendly’s). Proceed straight through seven sets of lights and take a left at the 8th light onto Swift St. Extension. Take first left into Dorset Park.

From Rte. 7 - Take I-189 exit in South Burlington to Dorset Street exit. Turn right at first traffic light onto Dorset Street and take a left at the next traffic light onto Swift Street Extension. Take first left into Dorset Park.
