THE PARK:
The park is open for use year round and parking outside the main gate is allowed from mid August through mid June. Summer hours are 9:00am-7:00pm daily from June 26 through August 15, 2009. (Parking is allowed only inside the park’s designated parking areas during operating hours, cars will be ticketed and towed if parked outside.)
Amenities include 700 feet of public beach, a picnic area, several miles of trails for walking and running on, scenic overlooks, and many natural attractions; birds, wildlife, variety of trees, plants, and rock formations. Season and daily parking passes are sold at the park entrance only, beginning June 21, 2008. Pass fees are listed below. For the Safety of Others, NO BIKES are allowed on the Hiking Trails.

THE BEACH:
The Beach will be open and lifeguarded from June 26 through August 15, 2009. Lifeguards are on duty Friday, Saturday, and Sunday 12:00-6:00pm. The beach includes a designated swimming area, restrooms and changing areas. The beach is open to the general public. A daily or season park pass is needed for parking.

Water Quality:
Red Rocks Park swimming area is tested every Monday and Wednesday during the season (and whenever deemed necessary) to help ensure safe swimming conditions to the public. Anytime the sample comes back higher than 77, the water will be closed as it is a potential health risk. Proper signage will be posted and  Red Rocks Park Staff will inform patrons of water conditions upon entry to the park.

The State of Vermont has adopted water quality standards that indicate that an acceptable amount of E. Coli contamination should not exceed 77 organisms per 100 milliliters of water in a single sample.

"DOG ORDINANCE" IN EFFECT AT RED ROCKS
Under the "Leash Law" enacted by the City Council, all dog owners MUST have their dog on a leash (6 foot max.) at all times within the boundaries of Red Rocks Park & trails. A reminder that dogs are prohibited at the public beach and in the water at Red Rocks. Owners in violation will be subject to a fine as outlined in the ordinance.
