Little Explorer’s Camp- 3 & 4 year olds
Little Explorer’s Camp provides 3 & 4 year olds the opportunity to socialize and play cooperatively with other children their age (children must be 3 by June 1, of the current year and potty trained). Campers will be provided with the opportunity to participate in group games, arts & crafts, and exploring the outdoors through fun activities. Each day includes group time, with songs and games, free play indoors and out, and a variety of theme activities. We have a 1:6 ratio of counselors to campers. This is a great program for your child’s first day-camp experience. Offered for 8 weeks in the Summer.
R.O.C. Camp- 5-12 year olds
R.O.C. Camp- Recreational Opportunities for Children, is our newest camp for children who want to socialize with friends while having fun and getting exercise. It is also flexible for the family looking for partial or individual day options. R.O.C Camp offers half day and all day options, as well as daily or weekly options. R.O.C. Camp is an activity based camp where there are daily activities offered by our leaders- no one misses out on the fun!
There are a variety of options in R.O.C. Camp. The Weekly Options are Monday- Friday, 1/2 Day Mornings- 8:00am-12:00pm,
1/2 Day Afternoons- 1:00pm-5:00pm and
All Day Option- 8:00am-5:00pm. There is also Daily Options- choose 1 to 4 days of the
1/2 Day Options- Mornings or Afternoons or the
All Day Option- 8:00am-5:00pm.
Camp Ventures- Completing K-5th Grade
RecVentures- AdVentures- FunVentures
Camp Ventures is our traditional day camp, with a new name, (formally known as Rec. Camp). It is for the child who is looking for the real day camp experience-where they can make new friends, learn new things, and have fun. Camp Ventures is a child based camp- where campers are part of a small group, with one counselor, within a village of campers their age. Each week there is a special theme that activities are geared around. A typical day begins with Opening Ceremonies-flag raising, skits and songs, and then to group and village time- where campers of the same age play and learn together with their counselors. The day continues with 3 Ultimate Activity Periods per day, campers of all ages choose the three that interest them. A variety of activities have been offered in areas of drama, arts & crafts, sports, and many more; offerings change each week. The day ends with all-camp activities and Closing Ceremonies. Also, weekly trips to the beach and occasional field trips are included in each session.

TeenVentures - Completing 6th-8th Grade
TeenVentures is part of Camp Ventures above, but this group has their own counselors and camp program. A large part of their day will be engaged in leadership activities and camp programs for this age group. They will also interact with Camp Ventures for special activities, trips and testing out their leadership skills with the younger campers.
Counselor-In-Training Program- Coed, Completing 9th & 10th grade
Are you looking to gain experience in working with children? If so, join us and gain valuable knowledge and work experience while working with our campers in Camp Ventures. This is the first steps to becoming a camp counselor.
Adventures in Nature- Completing 1st & 3rd Grade
These one week camps are geared especially for the young naturalist. Exploring nature through hiking, fishing, and outdoor activities. Kids will be up close and in touch with nature. Counselor: Rec. Staff
Jr. Adventure Camps- Completing 3rd-5th Grade
Camper will get outside and explore the great outdoors with friends. There is hiking, biking, kayaking, and much more. These one week camps are great for the young adventurer. Counselors: Rec. Staff
Teen Adventure Camps- Completing 6th-8th Grade
Join our Adventure Staff and challenge the great outdoors in these one week camps full of Outdoor Ultimate Recreation. Each week will include hiking, biking, kayaking, teambuilding and a special trip. The specific make-up of each week is derived from the cooperative planning of the campers and counselors. Fishing Camps- Completing 4th-8th Grade
Learn new fishing skills from a professional guide! Uncle Jammer’s Guides will teach campers how to fish with lures, bait and flies. Practice while fishing local hot spots and earn a VT Fish and Wildlife “Let's Go Fishing” certificate. Mark Wilde, Owner Uncle Jammer's Guide Service
Sailing Camps- Coed, completing 3rd-5th & 6th-9th grade
In this introductory sailing course, the camper will learn the basics of rigging, points of sail, sailing maneuvers, safety and recovery in a safe fun environment. Certified Community Sailing Center Instructors lead a variety of land and water-based activities designed to promote comfort and independence in the boat and on the water. Rocks ‘N’ Ropes Camps - Coed, Completing Grades 3rd-5th & 6th-9th
This amazing camp focuses on having fun while building confidence and self-respect. Each day will be full of exciting challenges, initiatives, and fun games. Come experience the state-of-the-art Challenge Course and Climbing facilities at Northern Lights in Essex. Instructors: Northern lights Staff
Horsemanship Camp - Coed, completing 4th-8th grade
This camp will be an introduction to the world of horsemanship. Campers will learn to groom, take care of, and ride real horses. Riding consists of lessons and trail rides by qualified instructors. Woods & Wild Camp - Coed, Completing 5th-9th grade
Spend time in the outdoors with a professional guide! This camp will focus on: hiking, outdoor skills, wildlife identification, canoeing, water safety, spin fishing and fly fishing. Come play and enjoy the outdoors. Learn skills that will last a lifetime!

Baseball/Softball Camp- Completing 3rd-8th Grades

Girls Field Hockey Camp- Completing 2nd-8th Grades
The Field Hockey Camp provides girls the opportunity to shoot, dribble and score with style. This is a fun and exciting camp for all levels.
TaeKwonDo Camp- Completing K-5th Grades
Learn the basics of Tae-Kwon-Do and self-defense. Participants will learn basic techniques as well as ways to avoid dangerous and uncomfortable situations. Director: Sue Myers, Black Belt Instructor
Girls Basketball Camp- Completing 1st-5th Grades
This camp is a great opportunity for youngsters to learn, play, and develop their skills in a fun atmosphere. Campers will enjoy the opportunity to play the game. Director: Shelia Burleigh, Varsity Coach
Multi Sports Camp- Completing K-2nd Grades
Experience over 15 different sports from around the world with the US Sports Institute. All activities will take place in an atmosphere which promotes good sportsmanship teamwork and most of all fun. Campers will receive Technical Instruction in each sport then experience the sport in a realistic game situation as well as participating in the exciting USSI World Cup Competition. Campers will receive a t-shirt and certificate. This is the only sports camp truly dedicated to children of all sporting abilities.
Tennis Camps- Completing 3rd-9th
These camps are for those who love to play tennis and are looking for the opportunity to improve their game play. Two separate camps are offered- one for 3rd-6th and one for 6th-9th. Offered in July and August. Director: Sue Vaughn, Tennis Director
Archery Camps- Completing 4th-8th Grades
Join these fun interactive camps and learn the sport of Archery. Campers will learn to aim, shoot, and score and develop the skills to become top-notch archers. One week camps will be offered in July and August. Director: Rec. Staff
JazzerKamp- Completing 1st-5th Grades
Join us for a week of dancing fun! Dance to the latest music, learn and create a choreographed routine and fitness activities. A special dance performance for family and friends. Offered for one week in July. Director: Tamie Dickinson
Junior Golf Players Camp- Completing 3rd-8th
Are you looking for a great camp, where you play on the course every day? Campers learn the skills of the short and long game and will be able to navigate the course. Rules, safety, and etiquette are taught, as well as working with others. Camp is held at Cedar Knoll Country Club. Camp offered in July. Instructor: Barry Churchill, PGA

Soccer Camp- Completing 1st-8th Grades
Campers will have fun while developing their skills through game-play, as well as fun and exciting drills and scrimmages. Mini World Cup at the end of the week. One week camp is offered in August. Director: Kelly Knudsen
Boys Basketball Camp- Completing 1st-5th Grades
The US Sports Institute Basketball summer camp is ideal for children who want to develop their basketball skills in a relaxed and fun environment. The focus of the basketball camp is to improve the individual’s technique through a series of fun basketball challenges and drills. Realistic basketball situations will be covered in small sided games, with the week finishing with the USSI Basketball camp Super Hoops tournament. Director: US Sports Institute Coaches
Lacrosse Camp- Completing 1st-5th Grades
Beginner Lacrosse players will have Great fun learning this exhilarating game. The US Sports Institute Lacrosse program is ideal for entry level players with no previous experience. Players can experience, Stick Handling, Passing, Scooping, Dodging and shooting as well as many other fundamental Techniques. Players will grouped by age, playing ability and experience level. No previous experience playing lacrosse is required to attend the clinic. Director: US Sport Institute Coaches.
Gymaskick Camp- Completing 2nd-8th Grades
This camp combines gymnastics and martial arts skills to teach body awareness, self confidence and defense. Activities include taekwondo kicking, striking, basic tumbling, balancing, and conditioning will be introduced. One week camp is offered in August. Director: Dan Linde, Black Belt Instructor
Flag Football Camp- Completing 1st-5th Grades
The USSI Flag Football Clinic offers an incredible opportunity for any future football star to learn and enhance their skills in running, catching, passing, blocking. Children will learn the rules and various sytems of play through some fun and innovative games. Open to children of all ability levels, the camp will focus on individual techniques and more importantly fun. The week finishes with the USSI Superbowl! Director: US Sports Institute Coaches
Zumbatomic Camp- Completing 1st-5th Grades
Chillin’ out is cool, but ROCKIN’ OUT is a blast! Zumbatomic camp is high-energy, crazy-fun and packed with kid-friendly dances and movement games. With specially choreographed routines featuring the latest music like hip-hop, reggaeton, cumbia, and more, kids can’t help but move! Director: Lisa Guerrero
Musical Theatre Camp- Completing 4th-8th Grades
This camp offers children the opportunity to play on stage! Campers will explore the basics of putting on a theatrical production while rehearsing an ensemble-based musical. The week will culminate in the presentation of the musical on Friday. Director; Tim Maynes
Day’s Adventures- Completing 2nd-5th Grades
Join Mr. Day, Central School PE Teacher, for one of these great indoor/outdoor adventure games and activities weeks. Each day will include indoor and outdoor experiences that children will love. C.S.I. Camp- Crime Scene Investigation- Completing 6th-9th Grades
The Recreation and Police Departments are joining forces to bring back this exciting and popular camp. Campers will experience collecting and using evidence to solve crimes and use the tools needed to accomplish this. Camp is offered in July. Director: Kevin Grealis, SRO Officer
Jewelry Design Camp- Completing 6th-12th Grades
Fine Metals & Jewelry Design- Learn how to cut, shape, connect metal and make objects out of copper, brass, and nickel alloy. Design your own projects or work from existing designs. This hands-on camp is for you! Materials included. One week camp is offered in July. Director: Erin Needham
Hip Hop Dance Camp- Completing 1st-6th Grades
Come learn new dance steps. Hip Hop has its roots in African, Jazz, Rock and Break. You will learn and explore isolations, hand jive and much more. One week camp is offered in August. Director: Karen Amirault
“Girl Spirit” Creative Yoga Movement Camp- Completing 1st-4th Grades
Do you enjoy playing, dancing, creating and relaxing? Girls unite to explore creative yoga and dance in a joyful, fun-filled week-long camp! One week camp offered in August. Director: Sylvia Kabusk
Art Camps- Completing 1st-5th Grades
Campers will explore art through many different projects. In this fun and hands on camp campers will focus on painting, with drawing as an important step to creating paintings that they will be proud of. One week camps offered in August. Director: Courtney Reckord, Artist and Teacher.
Story Book Illustration Camp- Completing 3rd-8th
Do you have a budding cartoonist or writer? In this camp campers will discover the fundamentals of drawing and character development. Each camper will develop a story line, design and illustrate their own story book. Director, Jennifer Hurst.
Meet the Master Camp- Completing 3rd-8th
Campers will take a trip through time and learn about the great artists, while focusing on different techniques; brush strokes, use of light and creating a balanced composition. A mixed media of art supplies will be used to learn and to create. Director: Jennifer Hurst
Girls Only! Arts & Socail Camp- Completing 5th-8th Grades
This camp allows girls to build relationships and explore their creativity in an inspirational environment. We will focus on empowerment and individual interests and goals. Art projects will allow campers to focus on self expression. Director: Jennifer Hurst
Sciensational Camps- Completing 3rd-8th Grades
Campers will build and take home all sorts of robots in these camps. They will learn about gears and motors. One week camps are offered in June and August. Provided by Sciensational Workshops
Rocketry Camp- Completing 3rd-6th Grades
Build, test, and launch solid propellant rockets that safely return by parachute. Learn the aerodynamics of flight and create kites that soar. Campers will leave with a rocket and kite for future flights. This is a high flying camp. Materials included. One week camp offered in July. Director: Bob Gurwicz
